Information handled by the website

The SquawkForge website does not provide user accounts, accept payments, run advertising, or use SquawkForge-operated analytics. SquawkForge does not ask you to submit personal information through the website at this time.

Like most hosted websites, the hosting and network providers that deliver the site may process standard technical information—such as an IP address, browser or device type, requested pages, timestamps, and security events—to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service. Their handling of that information is governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

The home page includes an embedded live air-traffic map provided by ADSB.lol. Loading or interacting with that map connects your browser directly to ADSB.lol, which may receive standard connection information and set its own cookies under its privacy practices. SquawkForge does not send account information or information you submit to that map.

FAA Registry Monitor

FAA Registry Monitor processes the aircraft registration numbers you choose to follow, the public registration records returned for those aircraft, saved record snapshots, alert preferences, and widget settings. This information is used to display current records and identify changes such as owner, registration status, or expiration.

Monitored aircraft and app settings are designed to remain on your device. The app may transmit an N-number to the public data service needed to retrieve the requested FAA record. FAA aircraft registry information is a public government record and can include owner names and mailing information. SquawkForge does not use registry data to build advertising profiles or determine the identity of the app user.

DI 275

When you enable its features, DI 275 may process device motion, attitude, heading, location, speed, altitude, route information, downloaded terrain data, and aviation data received from compatible equipment over the local network. These inputs are used to produce the supplemental attitude, HSI, route-guidance, and terrain features shown in the app.

Flight and sensor inputs are designed to be processed on the device and are not used by SquawkForge for advertising or cross-app tracking. iOS controls access to protected resources such as location, motion, and the local network. You can change those permissions in Settings.

How information is used

Information handled by the apps is used only as needed to:

• Provide the feature or information you request.
• Save your on-device settings and monitored aircraft.
• Generate widgets, change indicators, and local notifications.
• Receive compatible flight data and calculate app displays.
• Download required public records or supplemental data.
• Maintain security, reliability, and technical support.

SquawkForge does not sell personal information. Current versions of the apps do not include third-party advertising or use data for cross-app or cross-website tracking.

Sharing and third-party services

SquawkForge shares information only when necessary to deliver a feature you request, comply with law, protect users or the service, or complete a business transfer. Depending on the feature, an app may communicate with Apple platform services, FAA or other public aviation data sources, compatible avionics on your local network, and providers that host or deliver SquawkForge services.

Those third parties process information under their own privacy terms. SquawkForge does not give them app data for their independent advertising.

Retention, deletion, and your choices

Information stored only on your device remains there until you remove it, reset the relevant app data, or delete the app. You can remove monitored aircraft in FAA Registry Monitor and can disable location, motion, notification, or local-network access through iOS Settings. Removing a permission may prevent the related feature from working.

If you voluntarily send information in a support request, SquawkForge may retain it only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, keep necessary business records, resolve disputes, or meet legal and security obligations. To ask about or request deletion of information you directly provided, use the Support link on the applicable app’s App Store listing.

Security and children

SquawkForge uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information handled. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

The website and apps are intended for aviation users and are not directed to children under 13. SquawkForge does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, use the applicable App Store Support link so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the apps, website, providers, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated through the app, its store listing, or another reasonable method when required.
